For decades she has served the world community through her wisdom and inspirational power.
Amma has been traveling for over 30 years around the world and inspires through her speeches and her Darshan – the embrace – her message of Love and compassion. Through her all-encompassing selflessness and giving nature, Amma has helped touch countless people’s hearts. Amma has founded the global, charitable network “Embracing the World”. Who’s voluntary Helpers support the poorest people in the world with food, medical care and educational opportunities, Housing construction and livelihood projects. Embracing the World is also committed to environmental protection and sustainability.
The M.A. Center Hof Herrenberg, Amma’s center in Germany, is idyllically situated in the hilly landscape of the Odenwald, next to Pension Landhaus.
Visitors can enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings, practice spiritual practices such as yoga or meditation and work towards a sustainable world. M.A. Center Hof Herrenberg seminars and projects are inspired by Mata Amritanandamayi, also known as Amma. We try to consciously live her message of peace, compassion and selflessness. We orientate ourselves towards an ecological way of life and preferably use organic food from regional cultivation.
The M.A. Center is open to people of all origins and religions and offers a retreat for the search for harmony and inner peace. The Center promotes personal development for greater inner freedom with the aim of spiritual awakening. This is achieved in particular through selfless service (seva), which cultivates attentiveness, mindfulness, openness of the heart, as well as a giving attitude and detachment. Visitors can volunteer in seminars, workshops, and projects and in doing so get in touch with Amma and her teaching.
The M.A. Center is a place where values and qualities such as tolerance, solidarity, environmental awareness, and responsibility can be practiced.
